What’s the typical work schedule?


Dispatchers work approximately 10 days a month on a modified Kelly Schedule.  The shifts are split into “A” “B” and “C” shifts.  On each shift,  there are 24 hour positions, and 12 hour positions. 


The 24 hour positions come in at 7am and work until 7am the next day with a few breaks throughout the day then a rest break from 7pm to 1am or 1am to 7am.


The 12 hour positions work either 10am to 10pm; 11am to 11pm; or 7pm to 7am with breaks built in the shift.


Part Time Positions are in place to relieve crews for meetings, training, sick leave, vacations, or other shift vacancies.

What’s the hire Process?


  1. 1.Meet the minimum requirements as stated on the job post and submit your  application with all associated documents.

  1. 3.Pass the Criti-call assessment test


  1. 4.Pass the panel interview


  1. 5.Pass a complete Criminal background, personality and psychiatric test


  1. 6.Pass the second interview


Once steps 1-6 have been successfully completed you will receive a job offer.  You will be training anywhere from 5-7 months with a combination of certified training officers, dispatch academy, off site courses and will be on probation for a full year from your hire date.   APPLY

How long is the hire process?


Once a candidate has been asked to take the Criti-Call test, the process takes anywhere from 6-9 months. 

What’s the training process?


Once hired,  the candidate will be assigned a certified training officer (CTO) to work with for the next few months.  The candidate will not only train on site but participate in the dispatch academy and other off site training classes.  Academy/dispatch pictures
